Cover for the second issue. My editor passed along an idea from the series writer to mimic various cheesecake pulp magazines from days of yore. I took the idea of the keyhole voyeur (with consequences for being discovered) and it seemed to work well. It ain't deep, but it ain't boring either...

did you use any 3d software on this piece? Plus what did you do after Danger Girl?

Nah, it's just painter and photoshop. I referenced photos from my files on how latex shines and reflects its surrounding environment. And now that I look at it, I find it a bit too literal to that reference. I think that as a new painter at that point in time (still am to some degree), I was using photo reference as too much of a crutch. If I was painting this piece today, I'd definitely change it to represent what was actually going on in within its own context rather than what was in the reference. Live and learn.

After Danger Girl, I started IDW Publishing with a few partners and worked with them for 7-8 years. Now I'm a freelance artist with some potentially cool stuff in the works. Details to follow soon...
