Supes and Bats for the DC trading card game. Really was fun to do, albeit intimidating as I've rarely ever attempted to draw them.

Hi, just wondering, do you draw purely from imagination or you use human references for most of your artwork. I'm a beginner artist, I don't have any pieces of my own; anything i draw is just a copy of other people's work (which i do just for fun, not for sale or anything!)

I use reference more for lighting now than anything else. After drawing a lot of faces, bodies, hands, etc.. you get used to drawing them without having to study their structure. Copying other people's work in the beginning is perfectly normal but if you ever want to take the next step you eventually have to break away and find your own style. Good luck!

I find it kinda hard to draw all those muscly men and curvy women in comics from my own imagination. Any tips on how i can do that?
